  • Abstract:  Of all the days to pick to launch a flagship tablet , Nokia only went and did it on the same day the world was gurgling like a newborn at Apple's latest iPad iteration. It makes for an obvious comparison between the Lumia 2520 and the iPad Air, but they a...

  • Abstract:  Oh how we hate being a cliché sometimes. Yes, it's true, having held the new iPad Air in our hands we can confirm that its lightness is what will convince many to upgrade to the new iPad, or iPad 5 as some will no doubt continue to call it, when it hits t...

  • Sleek design, Powerful innards
  • No TouchID
  • Make no mistake: Apple finally nailed the tablet with a great combination of specs, power and a decent OS in this option. It's a joy to hold the iPad Air, even though it's now the thickest option in the iPad range. From the clever construction to the perpe...

  • Abstract:  I say that as a fan primarily of the iPad Mini – its 7” screen was also upgraded by Apple last night – but the Air is the larger 9.7” device that I've previously left by the sofa at home because it was slightly less portable for travel. Now, weighing i...

  • Abstract:  Apple's iPad Air was launched last night (read our iPad Air review for our verdict). One of the surprises of the iPad Air launch event was the news that the iPad 4, like the iPad 3 before it, will no longer be available, while the older iPad 2 will rem...

  • iPad Air is thinner and, Apple claims, up to twice as fast (although we'd like to test this out properly); it's the same price as the iPad 4
  • iPad Air may not change day-to-day experience enough to justify upgrading from iPad 4 (earlier generations of iPad are a different matter)
  • If you're on the iPad 3 or earlier, the iPad Air is a highly appealing buy, and a bit of a bargain, we'd say. But paying the same price all over again a year (or less) after shelling out for the iPad 4 may be less clear-cut, unless you're flush with cash...
