  • Abstract:  There are plenty of solutions for getting downloaded video and music onto your TV, from Windows Media Center to digital media adapters-and of course, Apple TV. You can record TV on a Windows Media Center and transfer it to a portable media player, or ...

  • Built-in DVR, Good streaming ability, Can sync recordings to Archos media players
  • Low video resolution, Confusing remote, Web plug-in costs $30 extra
  • Although the Archos TV+ has more features, it’s not as easy to use as Apple TV, does not support true high-def, and has a confusing remote. In its current form, the Archos TV+ is a pale Apple TV imitation, even if it can record video.

  • The TV+ has a lot of potential and is certainly stacked with features. But it has too many shortcomings to be worth spending £250 on. It's not a particularly good media streamer. It's not an elegant alternative to Sky Plus or a decent twin-tuner DVR. Its ...

  • Abstract:  Out of the Box I was extremely excited to get my hands on the ARCHOS TV+ after getting the demo at CES. All of the promised features, gobs of storage, and low starting price had me really stoked to give it a go. I’ll note there that during the...

  • Built-in DVR. Streams video and audio from PCs. Copies files to and from other devices via USB. Remote has several options. HDMI-out, several connection choices. Internet browser.
  • Needs software plug-ins for decent file support. User interface is slow, ugly. Limited offerings, poor integration from Content Portal. Occasional aspect ratio issues. No HD support yet.
  • The TV+ highlights both the best Archos has to offer (an excellent DVR, quality wireless streaming) and the worst (an outdated user interface, so-so file support). Its certainly an innovative device, but its limitations are frustrating....
