  • High image noise, Controls The Final Word As a budget compact camera, the FinePix A500 is a fairly competant model. It doesnt offer the best image quality in the world, and has some noise issues, but for this price tag it is hard to complain.

  • The Fujifilm Super CCD does live up to its claims to produce detailed, naturally coloured images. This particular 5.1 megapixel sensor offers a lot for the money.

  • The Fujifilm Finepix A500 is excellent value for money. It will produce prints to A4 size with plenty of detail and fidelity. The Fujifilm Finepix A400 is a 4 megapixel alternative that is so similar to the A500 that they share the one instruction manual.
