  • Abstract:  You know, one with characters and story, and all that? Even so, at one of our wild NZGamer Christmas parties I gave it a shot. I got owned. Majorly. Epically, even. But with my bruised ego and lowered self-esteem I also came away realising what the fu...

  • Abstract:  My experience with Guitar Hero has been rather minimal. I did try to encourage myself to give it a go once but found I’d rather spend that money on a real video game. You know, one with characters and story, and all that? Even so, at one of our wild NZ...

  • Abstract:  Cover bands are never quite as good as the original groups themselves. While you might enjoy hearing that familiar riff from This Fire, it just isnt the same as actually hearing Franz Ferdinand tune up. Guitar Hero: On Tour invokes that same feeling...

  • A noble effort thatll enable addicts to get their fill, Plectrum stylus a nice touch, Breed by Nirvana, Great DS-themed innovations for Guitar Duels
  • Its just not fun without the guitars, Only 25 songs means a limited shelf life, The fretboard slipping out (as it often does) means a complete restart, Uncomfortable to play
  • Activisions heart was in the right place, with this imaginative adaptation, but without a plastic guitar the illusion of rock is short-lived - removing pretty much all of what made this series so much fun.

  • A brave – and partially successful – attempt to bring Guitar Hero to the DS. Kudos to Vicarious Visions for trying. 7.4/10Print this pageUser reviews (0)Share this pageNoticed something wrong? Report error/mistake....

  • Same old Guitar Hero fun
  • Extra peripheral awkward, not that many tracks, poor music quality
  • There’s so much going against it that it’s a shock to discover that Guitar Hero: On Tour is quite a lot of fun...

  • Audio is surprisingly clear, Guitar Grip is a novel solution, You'll really want to like it
  • But your wrists and neck won't let you, Weak track list, Low replay value

  • Abstract:  WHATS better than learning how to play the guitar? Why, playing Guitar Hero of course! The music rhythm franchise proved to be a smash hit amongst console gamers with an endless variety of sequels and thousands of plastics guitars sold worldwide.Guita...

  • Easy to get into, Great visuals, High fun factor
  • Limited tracks, Average sound quality, Cant play for long durations
  • Gimmicks aside, is the game fun? The quick and simple answer to that is a resounding yes! Guitar Hero On Tour is just as addictive as its console counterpart, though its terribly unfair to compare the two. Even though the unit has only four buttons on...

  • Good single-player Career mode; decent mix of pop and rock songs; two player Duel mode.
  • Guitar Grip is too loose; limited song selection; subpar graphics.
  • THE TOOLS: The guitar grip (right) with the guitar pick stylus controller. WHAT’S better than learning how to play the guitar? Why, playing Guitar Hero of course! The music rhythm franchise proved to be a smash hit amongst console gamers with an en...
