  • Abstract:  The Nexus 9 just landed, and it's hot – both in terms of newness, and temperature. It offers the beefiest specs in the Android world, along with a near doubling of prices over yesteryear's models – but does the $399 HTC Nexus 9's cutting-edge components j...

  • Android 5.0 Lollipop is excellent, Swift and stable performance, Decent battery, Attractive display
  • Mediocre hardware, feels cheap, Lacks external storage support, Very slow to start up
  • The HTC Nexus 9 is a clear case of excellent software and mediocre hardware. It would be easy to overlook the hardware issues on a less expensive device, but here they are just enough to recommend users look somewhere else for an Android 5.0 fix....

  • Swift 64 bit SoC, Decent speakers, Latest Android 5.0, Low radiation rate, Good primary camera (in bright surroundings), Superb battery life, Good screen...
  • with visible halos, Casing stiffness, No MHL/DLNA, Price design, Only 2 GB working memory, Throttling in load, Weak power supply
  • Google does not hit a homerun with its Nexus 9 like it did with its Nexus 7. The quality has suffered, and the price has been increased noticeably. Besides that, not everything seems to run smoothly in the 64-bit version of Google's new Android 5.0 Lollip...

  • the tablet works wonderfully. It's a great travel size, and Android Lollipop 5.0 is the revamp we love. When it comes to build, HTC was a good choice to go with. The tablet starts at $399 (for 16GB). I'm sure it will go down a bit soon.  You can get the...

  • We've seen some complaints of light bleed from early Nexus 9 adopters, and we noticed this too a very narrow strip along the top of the screen in portrait mode is brighter than elsewhere. This wasn't a massive irritation, but it's not exactly ideal, As we
  • The Google/HTC Nexus 9 is a good tablet, but not quite a great one. The sound quality from the twin HTC BoomSound speakers is a real plus point -- as, of course, is Android 5.0 Lollipop. The 64-bit Nvidia Tegra K1 processor delivers excellent performance,...

  • No Micro SD card slot for expansion and its limited to a 32GB max capacity, slow charging, display is solid but not quite premium, cameras are average
  • The Nexus 9 is a solid premium tablet that Android purists will love. Can it compete with the iPad Air? Not really – we say this because we consider the Air 2 to be even more of a premium, high-end tablet, while the Nexus will likely appeal to mid-ran...

  • Overall, this tablet is one of the best Android tablets I've seen, and is the only one to offer a pure Android experience. If you are an Android-enthusiast there is no question; this is the device you want. Between the awesome Tegra K1 processor and promp...

  • Android Lollipop delivers an outstanding experience,  BoomSound speakers,  Powerful processor,  Solid endurance,  Comfortable, accessible design
  • Inconsistent build quality, Mediocre fit & finish, Limited to 16/32GB storage with no expansion, Middling cameras, Inconsistent gaming experience
  • And really, price is the whole problem with the Nexus 9. Yes, it's a Benjamin cheaper than the iPad it was (supposedly) built to compete with, but it's also far less impressive in almost every way. It's the same price as Samsung's Galaxy Tab S 8.4, whose...
