  • The Intel Core i7-6900K is a very capable consumer desktop processor since it has 8-cores and is perfectly suited for power users and researchers that are crunching highly threaded workloads all day long. If you are looking for the fastest processor aroun...

  • Twice the cores of mainstream parts, Overclocks very well, Not much better than the two
  • Not much better than the twoyearsold i75960X, Very expensive and not necessary for gaming PCs
  • Eight cores is more than any game currently utilizes, but for CPU intensive tasks, Intel's i7-6900K easily beats their 6-core offerings. Just don't try gunning for the 10-core king of the mountain...

  • Powerful performer for the price, Unlocked overclocking multiplier, Works with existing X99 Socket LGA 2011-v3 motherboards
  • Expensive, Comparatively low clock speed
  • The Intel Core i7-6900K is a speedy, more affordable alternative to Intel's other Broadwell-E processors, but it will still cost you a lot of money...

  • Nearly as powerful as the 10-core Extreme Edition, at a much lower price, Will work with most existing X99 Socket 2011 v3 motherboards (after a BIOS update)
  • Still quite expensive, Comparatively low clock speed means much cheaper chips will outrun it on some mainstream tasks
  • For content creators and enthusiasts who don't need the absolute best performance, Intel's eight-core Broadwell-E chip makes more sense than the $600-pricier Extreme Edition alternative. But those looking for the best bang for their silicon buck should s...

  • Abstract:  What would you do with more CPU cores? This is a question I see posted from an Intel employee on a yearly basis, and it actually is a difficult question to answer depending on your computing background. A gamer might not need more than four or six, and a...

  • Abstract:  We always knew we'd be seeing Broadwell again, though. There's a fairly predictable lag between when Intel rolls out a new architecture and when the design is adapted for server/workstation use. So, when we got our hands on Xeon E5-2600 v4 , based on Broa...

Innovation/Teknolo...
