Mafia: Definitive Edition is a great open-world sandbox that's absolutely dripping in atmosphere. The game's story is gripping, and it fills the air with a tension as you never fully trust any of its characters. It's no Godfather, obviously, but it was en...

One of the best looking openworld cities this gen, Excellent performances, Grounded, refreshing take on openworld crime
A lot of driving, The open world is fairly bland with not much else to do
Mafia: Definitive Edition is a complete remake of a classic crime game. It looks better than almost any other open-world crime sim you'll see this generation and has a story that'll keep you engaged to the end. It might not be the most revolutionary or in...
Abstract: Mafia: Definitive Edition follows a string of successful remakes that include Resident Evil 3, Trials of Mana, Final Fantasy VII, or Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2. With the Mafia series approaching 20 years old, this remake is a great way to introduce youn...

Every aspect has been retouched, All new animations and VOCAP are fantastic, Graphically phenomenal across the board, New voice acting team is fantastic, Full soundtrack has returned, and been expanded
Occasional camera issues, Infrequent physics hiccups
Hangar 13 has retouched every single aspect of the original Mafia, expanding the story, refining the gameplay, and wrapping it with an absolutely phenomenal new look and sound, elevating it to an entirely new and modern level. It's good to be part of the...

Abstract: Mafia: Definitive Edition may look like a contemporary video game, but it doesn't exactly play like one. This shouldn't be too surprising considering it's a remake of the classic 2002 mobster epic, but it also doesn't play like that game either. This is a...
Like Mafia 3, Mafia: Definitive Edition is a game that works as a good movie. It's not a game that works as a good *game*. It's buggy, it's clunky, and is often just frustrating or unsatisfying. Hopefully, Hanger 13 is able to learn more lessons from this...
