  • Abstract:  This isnt your fathers Mario game. Mario Strikers Charged is the sequel to the GameCube soccer title Super Mario Strikers. While the game may seem very similar to its predecessor at a surface level, a bevy of improvements, including the Wii’s first...

  • Awesome multiplayer; intuitive controls; just frantic fun. You dont have to be a soccer fan to enjoy this one.
  • Only one goalie available and you dont control him for most of the game; action gets a little too overwhelming at times.
  • Destined to join games like GoldenEye and Super Mario Kart as an incredibly fun multiplayer experience.

  • Overall gameplay translates well to Wii; dazzling (and busy) visuals; solid online multiplayer against random people; great offline multiplayer.
  • Some player imbalances that are disastrous online; Nintendo Wi-Fi Friends Codes take the fun out of online against your friends.
  • Some will disagree to this day, but we at GameSpy loved Super Mario Strikers. As one of the last Mario sports games on the GameCube, we showered it with lots of awards at the end of 2005, including Best Sports Game and Best Multiplayer Game. In our boo...

  • Abstract:  Following the wonderfully pixilated introduction is an easy to use menu bar. Starting with the campaign mode, a curt and standard rise to the top, a chosen team captain and three players make the team. While there is no official storyline (no saving Pe...

  • Abstract:  Two years ago Nintendo and development studio Next Level Games released Super Mario Strikers -- a title that married a very untraditional approach to the sport of soccer with the lovable characters from the Mushroom Kingdom -- for GameCube. Nobody had ...

  • Abstract:  In much the same way that tomatoes arent really vegetables, Mario Strikers isnt a football game. To be fair, its barely a sports game either, in the traditional sense. The traditional sense being anything that doesnt involve banjo-twanging sky dive...
