  • Best look Pebble yet, Color epaper display, Extralong battery life, Works with iOS, Android
  • More expensive, Too much bezel, Limited colors so far, Longer wait time
  • Pebble Time Steel is the grown-up version of the new Kickstarter-backed smartwatch with stainless steel casing instead of plastic. It'll cost you more money and you'll have to wait, but that's the price of looking debonair....

  • Always-on screen, Excellent sunlight readability, Industry-leading battery life, Big software improvements over first-gen Pebble, Timeline is a great way to navigate a smartwatch, Some decent apps and watch faces
  • Feels cheaply made despite its $199 USD / $249 CAD price, Lacks mainstream developer support compared to Apple and Google, Poor contrast when displaying colour, Low-resolution display, Buttons feel low-tech compared to touch and Digital Crown

  • The Pebble Time is a good smartwatch, made all the more attractive by its price. It is probably the least you can spend on a fully-fledged (there's some cheap tat out there) smartwatch, costing as it does the same as some high-end activity trackers. If yo...

  • Excellent battery life (for a smartwatch), iOS and Android compatible, Decent, reliable notifications
  • Needs more quality apps, Screen can be tricky to read, Lack of fitness features
  • The Time Steel is everything we've come to expect from Pebble - reliable, a bit geeky, easy to use - and more. It's the best-looking smartwatch Pebble has produced - some of the finish and strap combinations are honestly quite classy, and it's also the lo...

  • Screen perfectly viewable outside (always on display), Simple, clear and tothepoint OS, Battery life longer than the competition's, Compatible with Android and iOS, Choice of voice or canned responses to texts (Android only), Overall build / comfort
  • Brightness and viewability in good conditions could be better managed, Proprietary charging, iOS functions less complete than Android's, Watch frame tarnishes easily, MultiOS doesn't include Windows Phone
  • Although the OS and the watch's overall shape are different, the Pebble spirit remains unchanged on the Time. The color screen is a welcome addition, and the display is still as visible outdoors, trouncing the competition. Battery life is also better than...
