  • Small and light (can take it virtually anywhere), operates silently, easy to use, very impressive 6-megapixel stills capability, good video quality, Mac compatible
  • No integrated lens cap (lens smudges easily), microphone located on the side could get covered up, no bundled SD card, dock needs to be powered to import shots

  • Lightweight, compact, very stylish design, Neat and clear, rotating LCD
  • Fiddly navigator, Slow focusing
  • This takes decent, if not outstanding, movies and photos, but its compact size and swish design make it stand out from the pack.

  • Small and lightweight; rotating LCD screen; digital image stabilizer; quick response for spur-of-the-moment shots; excellent detail in moderately low light.
  • Tripod mounting requires tripod head tilt; manual focus isnt continuous; slow focus in low light.
  • While the Sanyo Xacti VPC-C6 falls well below MiniDV quality, this pocket-size hybrid camcorder can produce acceptable video and stills.
