  • Abstract:  Although it's designed for use with a PlayStation 3 or Blu-ray drive, the real potential of this new head-mounted display (HMD) only shines when it's paired with the sheer power of the PC. When attached to a gaming PC, the HMZ-T1 single-handedly re...

  • Excellent 3D effect, Great colour and black levels
  • Uncomfortable after half an hour, Low resolution (720p), It's hard to get the whole image in focus
  • Sony's Personal 3D Viewer is definitely a niche product. We can't see many units selling -- it's not a very sociable product, it can be uncomfortable and it really only appeals to 3D fans -- but if you can get it set up correctly it's able to produce a go...

  • One of the best 3D images we've seen; You'll be the coolest kid in class (or at work);
  • Headphones could be better; Can be uncomfortable for long periods of time; Required HDMI switcher means that it's not portable at all;
  • Probably the coolest and geekiest piece of kit that's ever come across this reviewer's desk, the Sony HMZ-T1 is a fantastically cool gadget even with its flaws. It's not perfect and is a little on the expensive side, but if you're looking for a way to kee...

  • Straight up, this is one of the most unique-looking, innovative gadgets you could have lying around your house for friends and family to drool over. It's definitely got that wow factor. But at $900, it'll also burn a hole in your pocket the size of a face...

  • It's fun! Whether it's for gaming or movies, the Sony HMZ-T1 Personal 3D Viewer is one of the best 3D displays on the market, with zero crosstalk. Based on OLED technology, the headset is capable of deep, deep black levels, and whether in 2D or 3D, all im
  • The headset is heavy and becomes quite uncomfortable with extended use. It's not possible to get the whole screen in focus at once, resulting in blurring at the edges. The effects of its lower resolution are apparent: detail levels aren't up there with an
  • While the Sony HMZ-T1 personal headset is capable of some of the best 3D effects I've ever seen, it's uncomfortable to wear for extended periods and images suffer from blurriness....
