  • The most powerful portable games console around, superb 5-inch 16:9 OLED touchscreen, light yet durable, as fast as an injury lawyer at a house fire in most circumstances, genuine effort to expand its remit beyond mere gaming
  • Rear multi-touch pad takes a lot of getting used to, front and rear camera qualities are nothing to write home about, game loading times can be painful, battery life is just 3 hours for gameplay (although better than the 3DS)
  • Expensive it may be, but the PS Vita offers the best mobile gaming experience around. Its OLED screen is simply divine, and the whole device’s performance belies its diminutive size. It may not set the world alight, but if you’re a serious gamer then i...

  • Powerful quad-core processor; Big bright screen; Comfortable controls
  • Unimpressive battery life; Very big and bulky; Console and games are expensive; No internal storage; limited multi-tasking
  • The powerful PlayStation Vita offers dual-analogue controls and a big, bright screen. It's very bulky though, with unimpressive battery life, and the high price of console and games means that all but the most hardcore gaming nuts would be better serve...

  • Near PS3quality 3D graphics, Great mix of traditional, touchscreen and motion controls, Dazzling subHD OLED screen, Strong builtin apps and exciting games lineup
  • Expensive for a handheld, Unimpressive battery life, Minor issues with Remote Play and media support
  • Impressively powerful and astonishingly feature-packed, PS Vita is - at least for now - the ultimate handheld games machine. With its touch-capabilities, augmented-reality cameras and motion-sensing capabilties it's a versatile little beast that should ...

  • Five-inch OLED touchscreen, Quadcore processor, Launch games line-up
  • Expensive, Fiddly card ports, Focus on core-gamers
  • Sony has really surprised us with the PS Vita, a dedicated gaming portable at supposedly the wrong time that could be so much more. Perhaps that's why it's dropped the 'PlayStation' logo from its belly - to signify a planned convergence with the app-heavy...

  • Looking first at the PlayStation Vita hardware we have a unit which first and foremost feels very comfortable to hold. At less than 300g it shouldn't cause fatigue in long gaming sessions and the front controls are well placed within easy reach of each...
