The Sony SmartWatch 3 has built-in GPS to track your workout without needing your phone. It's waterproof, has a built-in USB port for charging without a dock and runs Android Wear smoothly
Its screen is pretty awful, with poor colours and viewing angles. Its plain, square design makes it much less stylish than the LG G Watch R and it doesn't have a heart-rate monitor built in
Although its ability to use GPS to track your run is handy, its poor screen, uninspiring design and lack of a heart-rate monitor means the SmartWatch 3 doesn't impress over its more luxurious Android Wear competitors....
The Sony Smartwatch 3 is a good device that fits well into the burgeoning Android Wear party, and comes with some nifty features that make it possibly quite a good option to buy. I'm still waiting for the final price and a proper release date to play wit...
Abstract: Ahead of IFA, there were rumours that Sony was to release a third SmartWatch that would still be running on the company's own wearable operating system. On the basis of our experience with previous efforts, that would have been a very bad idea indeed. Tha...
Abstract: The look and feel of the SmartWatch 3 isn't a very big departure from the first two versions. It is still a square smartwatch and with the black case resembles the size and shape of a basic Casio digital watch. The SmartWatch 3's core unit does have some...
Abstract: Much of that battle has been centred on design. Motorola opened a new salvo in the fight with its rounded Moto 360, prompting LG to remodel its G Watch, too. Given that Wear is still a very new platform that has endless room to grow, the burden falls on S...

Waterproofing, Removable chassis easily charged via microUSB, Bright display in direct sunlight, Replaceable straps, Good battery life, Built-in GPS
Boring design, Poor screen viewing angles, No heart rate monitor
Certainly not the best Android Wear smartwatch on the market, the SmartWatch 3 is Sony's best chance at sticking it out in an increasingly high-margin and high-stakes ecosystem. That the SmartWatch 3 can be used with any Android 4.3+ smartphone makes it l...
Abstract: For a few weeks I have been wearing the Sony Smartwatch3, an Android Wear-based smartwatch device. Like any upcoming technology smartwatches promise new use cases and like in any upcoming technology it can deliver well in some scenarios - and not so much...

The Smartwatch 3 has its quirks as well as features such as its built-in GPS, which helps it stand out in a crowded smartwatch market. If you're a fitness fanatic with Bluetooth headphones, it's got a definite edge over the others. Fitness fanatics will l...
One of the biggest selling points that Sony SmartWatch 3 has over rivals is built in GPS, which, coupled with being water and dust proof, makes it a handy workout companion, allowing you to leave your phone behind, It's also a slick performer, with rarely
While I was happy to see GPS included in the Sony SmartWatch 3 it doesn't seem entirely accurate. It's good enough to track your route and get a vague idea of the distance travelled but if you need real accuracy you'll probably want to hold on to your spo
In many ways I really like the Sony SmartWatch 3. It's not an essential device – no smartwatches are yet – but I'm in the camp that finds Android Wear genuinely useful, particularly as a quick and unobtrusive way to check notifications. The Sony SmartWatch...
