  • Great atmosphere and setting, Unique twist on the classic Resident Evil formula, Serviceable story with a horror twist, Varied puzzles
  • The fixed camera and floaty controls make combat more frustrating that it should be, High difficulty level, Disappointing ending, Short length
  • Onimusha: Warlords is a game from another era and the remaster, despite its many enhancements, sadly highlights how the experience hasn't aged too well. This doesn't mean that the game isn't good, as many of its ideas, such as combat, leveling system and...

  • Nice blend between action RPG and isometric puzzle solving, Engaging story with memorable characters, Updated soundtrack and Japanese voices, Analog stick controls, widescreen support, and more QoL changes
  • Missed chances to eliminate frustration, A bit short

  • Better combat pacing thanks to new controls, Faithful port of a PS2 classic, Redone soundtrack is excellent
  • Simple combat gets repetitive quick, That PS2 classic is showing its age

  • New soundtrack, Runs smoothly with updated visuals, As faithful to the 2001 classic as possible, Redone Japanese voices
  • Static camera perspectives continue to hurt the game, Very short experience, The same poor English voice acting, Borderline banal story
  • A short but sweet gem of a game dusted off and polished by Capcom for a quick nostalgia trip. Visual and auditory upgrades make this the definitive version of Onimusha: Warlords, but nothing can hide the game's aging design

  • Onimusha: Warlords a vieilli.

  • Abstract:  The Onimusha series is one of Capcom's many popular-yet-forgotten IP. Despite being considered a commercial success and spanning across numerous sequels and spinoffs, the franchise hasn't been seen since the early 2000's outside of a few nods and special...
